This Historic Cabin Built in 1897 Needed Updates That Preserved the Original Character – On a Budget

For the Old Mill Cabin on the Lake, Chris and Faye added new interior carpentry, tile, painting and woodworking to update the old cabin to code We worked within the investor’s budget to furnish the cabin with appropriate textiles, art and furnishings to emphasize the character of this old sawmill cabin built in 1897.

Budget Status: Repairs and updating under budget.
Timeline: Stops and starts due to limited owner funding.
Surprise Factor: an appliance (refrigerator) issue requiring compressor replacement. We were able to diagnose and schedule the repair with a warranty replacement and without a diagnosis charge.
